The Opportunity
Healthcare Logistics (HCL) is seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager for our distribution centre sites.
This is a pivotal site-based role where you will manage the operational readiness, safety, and compliance of a high-volume facility. Supported by a team of two (WHS and Facilities), you will ensure our site remains a benchmark for safety and efficiency.
What you will do:
- Team Mentorship: Provide direction and support to 2 x staff members focused on WHS and facility maintenance.
- Facility & MHE Readiness: Oversee maintenance schedules for Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and site infrastructure to ensure zero downtime.
- Risk & Safety Leadership: Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain site registers. Identify and mitigate warehouse-specific hazards.
- Compliance & Audit: Support Quality Assurance with investigations and ensure the site meets strict ISO and healthcare (cgmP) standards.
- Contractor & Budget Management: Use your commercial acumen to manage the facilities budget and coordinate external contractors for specialised repairs and audits.
- Training Oversight: Ensure all safety inductions and training records are meticulous and ready for internal or external audits.
What we are looking for:
- Logistics Expertise: Solid experience within a 3PL or high-velocity distribution environment.
- Technical Aptitude: A practical understanding of how warehouse machinery and facility infrastructure function.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage maintenance budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and optimise site costs.
- Digital Proficiency: Competent in MS Office and experienced with integrated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Communication: A professional approach with the ability to influence both floor staff and senior stakeholders.
