This is a high-impact role for an experienced regulatory professional who wants to lead vigilance across a diverse ANZ medical device portfolio. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Reporting to the Head of Market Access, you will take ownership of post-market vigilance activities, work closely with senior stakeholders, manufacturers, and regulators, and help strengthen the systems, capability, and practices that support a high-performing function.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead post-market vigilance across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide expert guidance on sponsor obligations, field actions, and post-market compliance requirements.
  • Strengthen vigilance processes, systems, training, and governance.
  • Partner across Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and with manufacturers to resolve safety and compliance issues.
  • Lead responses to TGA enquiries, post-market reviews, audits, and inspections.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into practical actions for the business.
  • Build capability across the team and embed a proactive, patient-focused approach.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in post-market vigilance, post-market surveillance, or medical device regulatory compliance within a sponsor, distributor, manufacturer, or regulated healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand medical device post-market requirements, including sponsor obligations and TGA vigilance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience assessing complaints and adverse events, determining reportability, and managing regulatory submissions.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partner
  • Sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and a practical, risk-based approach.
  • Experience improving processes, delivering training, or building team capability will be highly regarded.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, regulatory affairs, quality, or a related discipline.
