The opportunity
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where conveniently packed medication is prepared for patients. You will be responsible for leading the Afternoon Shift team while also working on the production floor to support daily operations and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
The successful candidate will commence on day shift (6:24am – 2:30pm) for approximately 2–3 months of training before moving to afternoon shift (2:24pm – 10:30pm), Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position, with occasional Saturday overtime available.
What you will do
- Lead and support the Afternoon Shift team in daily production activities.
- Allocate work and roster staff to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor team performance and ensure procedures and KPI requirements are followed.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and workflow issues as they arise.
- Maintain safety, quality, and production standards through effective task delegation and performance management.
- Complete shift handovers and reports, and communicate with supervisors and internal teams via Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Perform production tasks alongside the team as required
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Confidence using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other workplace systems.
- Reliable and able to work afternoon shift following the initial training period.
