Senior Brand Manager - Vitapet

  • Lead the VitaPet brand across New Zealand
  • Help shape the growth strategy for Chunky in the pet care market

The Opportunity

Masterpet is seeking a commercially minded Senior Brand Manager to join our New Zealand marketing team and work across two recognised pet care brands: VitaPet and Chunky.

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will lead the VitaPet brand plan for New Zealand and help shape Chunky’s growth strategy, bringing brand thinking to life across innovation, portfolio management, communications, activation and commercial planning.

 

Working with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will help shape the innovation pipeline, support brand growth and connect with pet owners across New Zealand.

 

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in a highly engaging FMCG category, where pets are at the centre of what we do.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and deliver the VitaPet brand plan for New Zealand, while supporting the growth strategy for Chunky.
  • Use data, category insights and consumer trends to inform innovation and portfolio planning.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver brand initiatives aligned to commercial priorities.
  • Deliver communications and activation plans for VitaPet and Chunky across New Zealand.
  • Contribute to key business processes, including NPD Stage Gates, Integrated Business Planning and Commercial Planning.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
  • Brand marketing experience in FMCG, with grocery channel experience preferred.
  • Commercial acumen, including confidence working with P&L, category dynamics and performance insights.
  • Clear communication, presentation and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external partners.
  • Able to work through ambiguity, manage competing priorities and keep work moving.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a focus on delivering quality work.
